What`s your favourite movie of all time?

I am just wondering what everyones favorite movie is : Mine has got to be - "It`s a wonderful life" - a total classic of all time,
great characters, great story, whats everyone elses favourite movie of all time?

i'd have to say the lord of the rings.

and i don't count them as seperate movies, i think of it as one big movie that has three long intermissions.

when you watch the special features on dvd you see how much care and dedication really went into recreating tolkien's world. it's amazing.

it is safe to say, (based on the fact that I liked the first two thirds very much) the third should be equally good - if not better.

Pulp Fiction. Hands down. Arguably, not a "classic" as such, but still a landmark in cinema. I won't go into depth to why it's my favourite, over some of the more traditional "classics" [citizen kane, apocalypse now etc.], but if you haven't seen it, get your behind down to the video rental shop now. Quite possibly one of the best films made in the 90's.

it's a wonderful life is definitely up there.

so is spartacus, pulp fiction, bladerunner......no..it's no good....i can't choose!!

well i have two favourites...

if we are talking about favourite in terms of pure enjoyment then i would say schwarzeneggers 84 movie Commando, its just pure cheese for 90 minutes and i love it! Though the way i always justify it as a good movie is in its one liners... just about every action movie in modern times have some dead pan hero deliver one liners and this movie has the best ever commited to film.

If we are on the other hand talking about favourite movies in terms of well written, well acted powerful films... my pick is Leon. The whole Mathilda/Leon romance brings me close to tears everytime i watch it.
